Jan has worked as an entertainer in Los Angeles, Japan, and Hawaii and toured internationally. She has performed regularly on the Navatek Cruise, and worked with New Hope Christian Fellowship Vocal team. She currently performs with SaFire and Jubilation Bands. Along with extensive studio work for others, Jan’s recordings include 3 CD’s nominated for Na Hoku Hano Hano Awards and 3 nominations for Hawaii Music Awards for Female Vocalist of the Year and Inspirational Album of the Year. For her 2nd CD WHO IS TO COME, she wrote and Produced 11 songs, did Vocal arrangements and Art direction. It was one of the top Gospel CD’s in Hawaii, also receiving national airplay. Jan works with On The Rock Recording Studio as Producer/Arranger/Vocalist/Instructor. Her latest CD POWERPRAISEHAWAII with songs by Orlando Tumacder was Produced, Arranged, and Designed by Jan. She’s been a popular radio personality since 1996 with KAIM 95.5FM hosting programs including Voice of the Islands, Youth Alive, and Saturday Nights. . Instruments she plays are Vocals, Violin, Guitar, and Mandolin. She's taught Music workshops in Japan, Taiwan, S. Africa, Hawaii; Music classes at Kailua Intermediate School, and Hawaii Music Works; Private & group classes at her recording studio in vocals, violin, guitar, mandolin, songwriting, music business, in technique, theory, and performance. She is an Artist Teaching Partner for the Hawaii State Foundation on Culture & the Arts. Educated in music and dance since age 6 in private lessons, choirs, orchestras, stage shows, she has a BFA from the University of Michigan
